Emmerson Law provided timely, commercially appropriate advice throughout our dealings with the firm. Simon Emmerson’s ability to offer a reasoned view on a number of technical aspects of the matter enabled us to proceed with confidence.
Simon Emmerson qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and is the firm’s managing director. Emmerson Law Limited opened for business on 4 January 2010.
Simon has been a partner in three of England’s leading law firms (Laytons 2001-2004, Penningtons Solicitors LLP from 2004-2008 and Manches LLP from February 2008-December 2009).
He has direct experience of the full spectrum of commercial and regulatory legal challenges faced by businesses. He represents listed companies, SMEs and owner managed businesses. He has acted for a diverse range of organisations including petroleum companies, a global electronics manufacturer, property developers,
waste management businesses, outsourcing companies, retailers, software developers,
motor racing teams and drivers, charities and availability services providers.
Much of Simon’s work results in settlement on confidential terms before court proceedings are issued, but he has extensive trial experience in the High Court and Technology & Construction Court (including one trial which settled after 44 days).
Simon has also managed hearings and trials in County Courts and Magistrates’ Courts,
together with hearings before regulators, including the Traffic Commissioner.
Simon is a member of the Technology and Construction Solicitors’ Association (“TeCSA”) (http://www.tecsa.org.uk).
Away from the office, Simon’s passions are motor racing and long distance running. He has held a national race licence since 2005 and competes in several single seater races each year.
